You Told Us To Talk About the Weather turns Britain’s most familiar small talk into a call for climate conversation.
In the past six hours, 94% of Brits have spoken about the weather. In the past five years, nearly 7,000 have been arrested for speaking out on the climate crisis. The film blends poetry, folk horror and climate storytelling to explore this paradox, following a child questioning how to move beyond weather chat to engage with climate anxiety.
Narrated by Michael Sheen, written by Emma-Louise Howell and directed by Harry Tomlin, the short supports the Climate Majority Project’s Climate Courage Schools campaign, helping teachers and students talk openly and confidently about climate change.
